World Events

Whether we like it or not, accept it or not…our world has changed from what we have always been familiar with and now what?

One of the essential characteristics of growth is being fluid. Adaptability is a key survival factor in life; whether it’s for personal survival or business survival, being able to respond to stimuli is one of the characteristics of a living thing; remember Biology?

I know a lot of people and a lot of businesses are experiencing a hard time staying afloat this COVID-19 season, but instead of complaining, let us try optimism and creativity for a change.

do you remember the story of the Isrealites marching out of Egypt to cross the Red Sea? Ok…if you are a Christian and you attended Sunday School, you should be familiar, but for the sake of the non-christians, i will do a brief summary.

Well…for the Isrealites, Egypt symbolized slavery, oppression, limitations and they had a lot to complain about. So yes, God sent Moses to deliver and after so many back and forth episodes, King Pharaoh finally released them to go, so Moses led the Isrealites and they marched out of Egypt, BUT…something tweaked in King Pharaoh and he decided to chase after them and bring them back to slavery.

so here was the dilemma; King Pharaoh behind with his army, the Red Sea beyond them, what should they do?

As usual, they started complaining;

“We had rather be slaves in Egypt than die in this desert

Ïs that why you brought us out here to die in the desert

“Why did you bring us out of Egypt anyway”?

Then God said to Moses; “Why do you keep calling out to me for help?

Tell the Isrealites to MOVE FORWARD. Then hold your walking stick over the sea. The water will open up and make a road where they can walk through on dry ground.

So here is the gist;

  1. Stop complaining, MOVE FORWARD- Seek for ways to improvise, add value to yourself, your business and make things better.
  2. Hold Your Walking Stick Over The Sea- What do you have in your hands NOW? No need sulking over things not within your reach now, instead use that thing you have in your hands now; that skill, talent, gift, time, relationships, profession, resources…

And guess what? The water will open up, you will begin to gain traction, opportunities, more ideas, open doors and many more.

A lot of businesses have suffered, yet a lot of businesses are springing up while some others are scaling in this season.

I know of a company that made #400 million in April alone, several business have recorded their highest profits this season. So instead of complaining, you will do well to stay in the season and make the best of it.

I have included a checklist of businesses to venture in or partner with this season;

-Hand Sanitizers

-Liquid Hand Wash

-Soap/ Sanitizer Dispensers

-Face Masks

-Face Shields

-Protective Gears

-Disinfectant Spray

-Hand Gloves

And the great news is you don’t need a start-up capital to get these things running, you only need to connect with the industry players, create your market and sell with a profit; no investment.

Logistics companies are life savers. you can use them to drop-ship without stepping out.

And if career is your gig, you had better use this season to learn new things, get familiar with the digital world and machine learning for your field because that’s the new world.

So darling moi; translated in English as My Darling; Keep Thriving, COVID-19 or not!

I will love to hear from you should you have any question.
